Chime for Change Concert in London |
Blake will be joining Beyoncé and other Chime for change ambassadors on stage at the Chime for Change concert in London on June 1st.
From Vogue.com:
BLAKE LIVELY, James Franco and Jennifer Lopez will join Beyoncé Knowles on stage during Gucci’s Chime for Change concert in London. While Lively and Franco have been confirmed as presenters, Lopez will perform a special one-off set.
Other names to feature in the charity gig, to be held at Twickenham Stadium on June 1, include Florence and the Machine, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and Haim. Further acts and surprise collaborations are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Knowles is the concert’s artistic director and will herself perform a 45-minute set. The event was organised in support of Gucci’s new Chime for Change campaign – an initiative founded by Knowles, Salma Hayek and Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, with the aim of improving health, education and justice for women worldwide.
“Thanks to Beyoncé and the amazing line-up of performers and presenters, the stage at Twickenham on June 1 will be filled with powerful voices of change who believe that girls and women everywhere deserve the right to be educated, healthy, safe and celebrated,” said Giannini. “This represents an important moment in the Chime For Change campaign, but it’s only the beginning. The funds we raise will have a major impact on the lives of thousands of girls and women around the world.”

Blake Lively Dishes on Designing Her Dream Kitchen |

When the oh-so-stylish Blake Lively and hubby Ryan Reynolds moved into their $2 million home in Bedford, N.Y., visions of a decadent walk-in closet filled with her fab fashions danced through our heads!
But it looks like Reynolds’ ladylove is more excited about a slightly more practical room in her new abode—the kitchen. We were a bit surprised to learn Lively’s a bit of a domestic diva, but it turns out she plans on spending a lot of time in the room.
“My kitchen is the most important part of my home,” the blond beauty told Elle Décor. “It’s really the family room.”
What’s less surprising is the fact that the former Gossip Girl star plans on creating a kitchen with as much style as any of her red carpet outfits.
“Design, whether it’s on your body or in your home is the same thing,” she mused. “It’s mixing different colors, different textures, and unexpected patterns—elements that you wouldn’t often put together in an interesting way. That’s also why I look for things that you don’t see everywhere, things that are elegant. And I’m always looking for pieces that make a statement.”
And Lively already has a colorful centerpiece for her kitchen: a custom blue La Cornue range.
“At first I thought a fuchsia or oxblood, but the blue seems like a bold color that’s still grounded, because it has a little bit of a grey undertone,” she explained to the magazine. “It’s a jewel tone with a little storminess.”
Pretty chic for an oven. But how many cooks will be in the Lively-Reynolds kitchen? While Lively won’t face much competition from her hubby, she expects her mom will want to get in on the cooking action on her fancy new range.
“But I’ll have to fight my mom for it,” she revealed. “She is an amazing chef.”
Looks like Reynolds can look forward to plenty of yummy meals from the Lively ladies!

Blake Lively in talks for Freddie Mercury film |
Blake Lively is rumoured to be playing Freddie Mercury’s former girlfriend Mary Austin in the upcoming biopic about the late Queen singer.
Blake Lively is being lined up to star in the upcoming Freddie Mercury biopic. The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress is expected to play the iconic Queen singer’s former girlfriend Mary Austin opposite ‘Borat’ star Sacha Baron Cohen, according to The Sun newspaper. The couple were inseparable in the early 1970s after being introduced by Queen’s guitarist Brian May, until Freddie had an affair with a male American record executive at Elektra Records. However, they remained close friends until his death in 1991, aged just 45, from a long battle with AIDS. The film – rumoured to be helmed by award-winning ‘Les Miserables’ director Tom Hooper – will examine the flamboyant rocker’s career and personal life, and leading man Sacha is said to be undertaking intense training to copy Freddie’s powerful singing voice and mannerisms.
A source said: ”Sacha is a huge Queen fan and is focused on getting Freddie’s mannerisms, style and speech perfect. ”He is working on building his vocals. It is an uphill task, because Freddie has such a unique power and tone.”Last year, Brian May revealed production had been delayed due to ”complex” contracts being ironed out, but filming is expected to begin later this year for a 2014 release.
